Rosalie Letourneau

Research Assistant & rTMS Technician
BSc Biomedical Science with Neuroscience, University of Ottawa

Rosalie joined the rTMS Neuromodulation Research Clinic as a research assistant in 2024. Before joining, Rosalie graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science, specializing in Neuroscience and French Immersion, from the University of Ottawa.

During her undergraduate studies, she completed an honours project investigating the neurocognitive processes involved in problem solving in students through EEG.

In her role at the clinic, Rosalie administers rTMS treatments and clinical assessments, supports data collection and analysis, and oversees projects. Her primary interests lie in neuroplasticity and its potential as a predictor of mental health treatment outcomes, as well as the connections between cognitive, mental, and physical health. Rosalie has always had a passion for supporting individuals, especially young students, with neurodevelopmental disorders. She tutors youth in her free time and enjoys staying active through skiing, volleyball, and ultimate frisbee.

“rTMS offers us a whole new way of looking at mental health treatment, where we can identify malfunctioning circuits in the brain, and effectively treat them in a non-drug, non-invasive way.”
